chickenscratch in my psychology notebook

Nearly everyone has pondered questions such as what is the meaning of life, why am I living on this planet, who am I, where do I go when I die, and whether or not there is an afterlife. Folktales, myths, religion, science, and philosophy all try to answer these questions and more. Answers are portrayed through various ways -- campfire stories, bedtime stories, songs, novels, movies, pictures, art, literature. The application of this knowledge spawns new technology and an evolution within culture.

How do we know when a fact is a fact? All of us pursuing knowledge/answers to these difficult questions and yearning for the truth. What is truth and do absolute Truths exist? Does reality exist? Do souls exist? Is there really a "bigger picture" or do humans, having the capacity to think, dream, interpret, and imagine, create pseudo-truths based on observations of this world?

If there is a god, is it a he? a she? Does it have a physical body? Does it care about me? Will this god speak to me? Is god nature? Is there a difference between a creator of all things and the nature-spirit (if there is one) of this planet? Could other living things contain souls too? Could machines? Could "non-living" things have souls? What are souls? If there is no soul then what causes something to come to life? What is living? What is dead? Is there a Heaven? Hell? Does reincarnation exist?
