Dredg.. check 'em out. Dredg.
Okay, enough obvious subliminal (woot contradictions) messaging... on to what I really wanted to blog about.
I would have posted this on myspace, but I posted two blogs in the course of one day (yesterday... or maybe it was the day before but really late in the evening)
Anyways... whoever's following this blog on here, this is a present for you.
There is a classmate of mine in my psychology course (Development across the Lifespan) who sometimes will go on long-winded autobiographical examples about her life but present it in ways that sound as if she's just pulling a scenario out of her ass, but from the specifics and details given in such examples, everyone in the class unless completely daft knows she's drawing from personal experience...
what I'm getting at is... she annoys the fuck out of me. I'm sorry. She does.
Because she misuses the word "philosophy." And as an ex-philosophy major, but still a philosophy enthusiast, it kind of ticks me off.
You know when someone scrapes their nails across the chalkboard? Magnify it ten times.
Actually. No. It's worse than that.
It is more like having someone take nails and a hammer and pound them into your ears until they bleed. After they're good and bleeding that someone has enough courtesy to pour salt in your ears and then lyme. Not just lyme, no no no. But they'll add water and watch you burn. A week later, after scars and scabs are formed, they'll pick apart the scabs by dragging a rusted cheesegrater over your ears.
Yes, this is the best way I can describe the feeling I get when my classmate starts her monologues with
"My philosophy is..."
No, that isn't your philosophy you dumb, ignorant fool!!!!!
Here, let me help you out with your vocabulary...
